our mission

Mission

To serve our community by supporting quality of life enhancing initiatives, programs, events and non-profit services within our community by developing resources for local organizations.

Vision

To see the City of Maricopa and surrounding area in Pinal County, continue to grow and flourish while maintaining its traditions, values, and small town feel where community is felt and nurtured

Purpose

The Maricopa Community Foundation (MCF) will primarily serve as a resource and fund development organization for public, private, and non-profit organizations serving the City of Maricopa and surrounding area in Pinal County. The foundation will leverage its board and member relationships and resources locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally to be able to provide support for local organizations. The MCF will review request for funding
proposals from local organizations and will support, as resources permit, those that match the mission and vision of the MCF. In doing this the MCF will help local service providers operate in perpetuity rather than depend, primarily on grant applications and local fundraisers. Many local non-profits and small businesses do not have the capacity to both fundraise and operate the organization. Support from MCF can assist these organizations through the services listed
below:

  • Work with non-profits and other organizations to research and apply for grants in support of the MCF’s mission
  • Create and fund an endowment to distribute funding in an ongoing basis based off of annual fund yields
  • Develop and provide funding for capital projects that support MCF’s mission
  • Sponsor local events and support recruitment of external events which provide community access and economic impact through tourism
  • Provide support in consultant roles for local organization utilizing the experience of the MCF board and members
  • Provide access to resources to local non-profits to assist with management best practices, including finance, personnel, marketing and other key components of operation
